Steel Convector Installation

These are steel convector units that are very close in design to the original copper Modine convectors that had failed. These type of convectors are either recessed in wall cavities or reside inside standing sheetmetal cabinets such as these Modine cabinets. The cool air enters the bottom, gets heated by the convector and rises out the cabinets top grill opening. They may be ugly, but they do heat very well.

Steam moves thru tubes from end header to end header.

Then the fins pick up the heat by conduction.

Once fully hot the air passes thru the fins picking up heat by convection.
