Deborah's Sooted Up Boiler Replacement

This was a boiler replacement that was prompted by the condition of the existing equipment. The old boiler was a very old Bryant steam boiler that has a reputation for being a carbon monoxide factory. There had to also be something else wrong with the chimney, which was an exterior version. We told the homeowner she really needed a new boiler and the chimney to be lined with a sheetmetal liner. She agreed and had the chimney liner installed and then we replaced the boiler. We used a SlantFin Galaxy model. Weve come to like these SlantFin's as they skim clean much easier than any other boiler. They have a special skim design thats unique to them.
